Regina
Y. Nájera, M.D.
Comprehensive Ophthalmologist Specializing
in Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Management and General Eye Disease
Dr. Nájera received her undergraduate
degree from Columbia University in New York City and a master's
degree in education from Harvard University. After working in
the financial sector for sometime, Dr. Nájera decided to
pursue a career in medicine and graduated from the University of
Wisconsin Medical School in 2001. She then completed her ophthalmology
residency at the Eye Institute of the Medical College of Wisconsin
in 2006.
As an Arizona native, Dr. Nájera is
proud to have joined the Eye Institute of Southern Arizona. She
is committed to community outreach and educating patients of all
ages about eye health and its relationship to overall physical
well-being. Because she speaks Spanish, Dr. Nájera is also looking
forward to working closely with her Spanish-speaking patients in
Tucson, Green Valley and from all over the Southwest. |

Along with her husband, who is also a physician,
Dr. Nájera enjoys raising her two small children in scenic Tucson. As
a family, they enjoy biking, hiking, classical and jazz music and the
occasional Scrabble tournament. |
